Submission of Abstracts and Cases for the XIII SOLACI Congress ended on April 9, 2007. We regret to inform that said deadline will not be extended; therefore, abstracts and cases submitted after such date will not be considered.
Access to the system will be exclusively granted to CACI students.

Rules for Abstracts Submission

Languages: Spanish, Portuguese, English.

Submission Method
Only abstracts submitted electronically will be accepted. Through the SOLACI 2007 Congress website you will access a user-friendly abstract submission system called SAS. This system has a comprehensive help guide detailing the requirements to be completed. Please remember that your submission will be identified by your Identity Card number and a code given by SAS.


General Terms and Conditions
• Abstracts will include the following sections: objectives, methods, results and conclusions.

• The size of the abstract is automatically regulated by the submission system, which takes into account the text characters, tables and the images.

• Abbreviations in the title will not be admitted. They may appear between brackets the first time they are mentioned. No more than five abbreviations will be accepted throughout the text.

• Work subdivision into several abstracts or duplication must be avoided.

• Drugs must be named by their generic nomenclature and in lower case.

• Statistic calculations must be in agreement with the kind of variable used. Error and uncertainty indicators must be used in measurements, e.g. confidence intervals.

• Conclusions should not be the repetition of results and should be related to the objective.

• All authors must acknowledge the submitted material. Eight is the maximum number of authors per abstract.

Arbitration
It will be carried out by three arbitrators, all of them permanent members of SOLACI. They will accept or reject the submitted abstracts. The submission system will automatically assign the abstracts to the arbitrators, thus avoiding conflicts of interest. The first communication will be done through the XIII SOLACI Congress 2007 website.

Only the accepted abstracts will be listed, along with their identification code, title and authors.

Subsequently, the Scientific Committee will announce the accepted and rejected abstracts, as well as dates, times and place of presentation.

According to the points obtained, the abstract will be presented orally or on a poster.

Abstracts presented by other means than the above mentioned.
Abstracts submitted in other events before April 9th 2007.

Abstract submission deadline: April 9th, 2007.

In order to stimulate the participation of nurses and technicians, the Scientific Committee will carry out a pre-arbitration. Methodology and writing guidelines will be issued for the final submission. The submitted abstract must be signed by the head of the corresponding department, who must supervise all the corrections.

Abstracts – SOLACI 2007 Prize
• The best abstracts will be selected for a special session, in which a jury made up of international guests will select a winner. The prize for the winning abstract will be a round trip to the XIV SOLACI Congress 2008.

• The most outstanding abstracts will be presented orally.

• The rest of the abstracts will be presented on a poster and the best one will be awarded a diploma.

The main author of a selected abstract will have free admission to the Congress.
